Glowing Casino > Beat The House Playing Black Jack Online

Beat The House Playing Black Jack Online
/ 3 January 2006
Black jack is a popular game all over the world, and since it's possible to play black Jack online, the game is more played than ever. One of the reasons why black jack online is such a popular game, is because the odds are less random than in other games, giving players the feeling that they can beat the house.

When you play black jack online, you play with the same rules as a regular black jack game, which are really simple. Black jack online uses a standard set of 52 cards. Players play against the dealer, and not against each other. The value of the cards is at follows: 10, King, Queen and Jack represent 10 points, Aces represent one or eleven points and the 2 to 9 represent their own value.

You can win a game of black jack online by having a hand closest to 21 and higher than the value of the hand of the dealer. If you exceed 21, it is called a 'bust' and you're out of the hand. If the dealer exceeds 21, and you don't, you win the round.

A black jack online game proceeds as follows:

1. Between one and seven players can take part in any hand of black jack online. The players put a first wager forward and two cards are dealt to each player (one at a time) with the dealer dealing him/herself last with one card face down.

2. You screen your cards total value and decide whether you want to take another card (called a 'hit') to increase your total or keep the cards you have and hope others will 'bust'. In a black jack online game, a player can ask for as many cards as he thinks is necessary to have the best hand possible.

3. When you draw an ace in a black jack online game, you can decide whether it counts as 1 or 11.

4. When all the players 'stand' (don't take any more cards), the dealer reveals his hand by flipping over the face down card. The dealer must take cards until the total is 17 or above. If the dealer's hand is between 17 and 21, the dealer is NOT allowed to take an additional card. Between the players and the dealer, whoever is closer to 21 without going over 21, wins the black jack online round.

5. Winnings are calculated on the amount of the bet for a winning hand. The only way you can lose with a blackjack (21) hand is if the dealer has one too.
